Nokia has been selected by ResetData to supply a networking backbone for its artificial intelligence (AI) Factory data centers in Australia. This deployment supports the rollout of sovereign liquid immersion-cooled AI Factory data centers aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing environmental impact. ResetData’s AI factories are projected to be up to 10 times as efficient as traditional designs, with the potential to cut cloud costs by 40% and emissions by 45%.

The Nokia solution employs the FP5 routing silicon, which offers a 75% reduction in energy consumption compared to earlier models. ResetData, supported by Centuria Capital Group, plans to deploy the Nokia 7750 Service Router in commercial properties across Australia, starting in Melbourne’s central business district.

Karl Kloppenborg, Chief Technology Officer at ResetData, noted the importance of sovereign AI for Australia’s competitiveness, highlighting the need for a partner committed to sustainability and local resources. Vach Kompella, Senior Vice President and General Manager of IP Networks at Nokia, emphasized the readiness of their IP portfolio to meet the needs of AI infrastructure. The partnership is positioned to enhance Australia’s AI capabilities while maintaining national compliance and security standards.
